Thankis Guys I called the vendor and of course they wanted to sell me 25lbs of it. I didnt think it was anything too special. I will go with some canning salt.

Hey all received my hank of sheep casings over the weekend and per instructions it calls for packing them in purified salt. a quick google did not help me out on what is purifed salt. Can someone chime in on what it is and is there a another name more common to use for packing them

So Sorry for not chiming in sooner but have been real busy with that work thing. I have been reading along and getting supplies in daily. Looks like Sat will be the maiden voyage of my sausage making endeavour. Will try to update over the weekend but will be checking in on a daily basis.
