I thought about collecting my own chips but why don't you just call a local small cabinet shop and ask them for their shavings from a planer,most will give them away for free,.they make wonderful chips .If it's run through a planer chances are theres no plywood in them but double check and tell them...

thanks to all. the burner wasn't the danger the cook was! new design will be safe and more efficient,more air tight =less heat loss=less btu's to begin with.instead of a hose going in it'll be a piece of pipe=non flam=safer.orf... If the entire burner must be placed inside, replace hose with an iron...

I've called around town here ,which is wilkes-barre,pa. and wegman's is also the best deal I found. They asked for a couple days lead time if I wanted a 100#'s.I called a packing house and they had it for $1.65# already ground but i like the texture I get with a double grind thru my plates.
