I checked out the LEM Stainless Steel Electric Meat Grinder, 5-Pound , SS with metal gears, could be had for $219 + shipping. For small batches of 5-10 lbs. that's a lot of bang for your buck I'd think. RAY

That's a interesting combination Ross, and looks like it would make a fine breakfast. There's always been something about a chicken and eggs brekky that just doesn't work for me, tho a smoked chicken pancake with some single-malt maple syrup sounds quite appetizing. I've spent the last couple of wee...

Thank you Maxell. I appreciate your attention and decision in this matter. And to all of those who supported me in this matter, please come to my house for a Dutch oven dinner and baby-back rib-roast, with plenty of "bear sign", "calf-slobber", and "anti-fogmatic scamper juice"! Okay folks,...

I've been watching with interest. I can see CW's point, I'd have to be blind not to. RAY

Nope, I'm not needed at all. I'll feel a lot more comfortable where honor and loyalty are more in demand than just going along with the crowd. The silence is deafening, and I feel our mentor and dear friend has gone to greener pastures. I can no longer support or patronize this website, I feel in li...

[quote="Chuckwagon There is no big mystery about all this but it is certainly a surprise to me So pards, it appears the time has come for me to step down. Shucks, I was just getting warmed up too! I'm on the fence right now, not very happy. When one of my buds gets hurt I want to be there for them. If CW is getting jobbed I'll just have to get along with all I already I know about sausage and smoking (which is quite a bit) and get back to fishing and killing, er, I mean hunting, forums. I mea...

Nice to hear Chris, I angrily answered your PM before reading this. I respect and like you but if all this is true, and CW was blind-sided and never saw this coming, how could these folks be so dammed stupid? Most all of us don't speak Polish, but each and every one of us owes a debt to CW, includin...

I've got a lot of shortcomings, as my wife is always ready to point out, but the opinion of old friends and family is that I truly excel at being loyal. I feel it's now time to say goodbye to this site. CW has meant the world to me and my family, I've learned a ton, my wife even refers to him by his...

I also hope this isn't true. I think Chris (redzed) is a great guy, buy there's only one Chuckwagon. His knowledge of food safety, recipes, sense of humor, and humility are in a class all their own. I've learned more than I can even remember from CW, tons of files on my computer and a thick printed ...

Get a sow Chris, they won't be as lean so you won't have to use much domestic backfat if any. They look cute enough to shoot! RAY

Cabonia speaks with great wisdom! My one horse power grinder weighs 58 pounds and seems to get heavier every year. I only have to carry it a few feet from a butler pantry right off the kitchen where all my food processing stuff is stored to the kitchen counter. If I had to move it more than a few st...

I can see where that works easy enough for the dinners rolls Ross, they look great. My problem lies in trying to form French rolls or hotdog buns. I've seen the beautiful work that you, and also Idakraut, manage to pull off in forming dough for those. My efforts have left quite a bit to be desired b...

I like to place my burgers in the freezer for a hour or so before shrink-wrapping to maintain their form, do the same with sausage so the ends don't squish. RAY
