This book was loaned to me by a friend and I believe it is worth owning.
This is a quote from the dust Jacket: like "Joy of Cooking" to which it has been compared, "Polish Heritage Cookery" is a family affair. Robert Strybel is a native of Michigan and lives and cooks with his wife, Maria in Warsaw. He is a syndicated columnist and his "Polish Chef" recipes reach 250,000 readers evry month.
In the book all of the subjects have English titles and Polish subtitles.
Published by Hippocrene Books Inc. in 1993 I am holding the 4th printing.
ISBN#0-7818-0558-9
It is listed on Amazon

Ross, I got a copy of this book several years ago, and love it! The recipes are authentic, at least according to my Polish friends. I made some of the spice blends from the book as a Christmas present for a friend of mine, and she came back later and told me that she made a honey-spice cake and it "tasted like childhood". The section on homemade sausages is really interesting.
