Holiday dinner last night

Post by ssorllih » Mon Dec 19, 2011 15:34

Each year about this time Nancy and I invite a few friends over for a fancy dinner.
We had an Appetizer: Image
Hot smoked Polish sausage, http://www.wedlinydomowe.com/sausage-re ... hot-smoked ,on Jarlsburg cheese with cured olives and heated until the cheese melted.
Nancy set a fine table: Image
I had prepared Roulades, Fresh pork butt sliced about a half inch thin and wrapped around some Cardamon flavored Russian sausage: Image http://www.wedlinydomowe.com/sausage-re ... hot-smoked
This I roasted at 350°F to an internal temp of 170°

While this rested I made gravy with the dripping and steamed asparagas.
I had cooked rice and Nancy had made a Waldorf salad.
I sliced the meat and dinner was served: Image

Hi Ross,

That sounds like a meal fit for royalty! Everything looks so well prepared and delicious.

Dell will have to come up with a monitor that tastes like the food one views then I can share from this end

You set a fine and elegant table ol' timer! I'll bet your guests were pleased.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D

Ross,

That all looks very nice and generous too. I think it's time you dropped the "tightwad" self descriptor ........?
Happy Christmas

Was there a little Aussie red on your table ? If so, I'll have a California red on mine soon...
