Making room in the freezer
Post
by Butterbean » Thu Nov 01, 2018 01:48
Deer season is in and I thought I'd try to make some freezer space so I made a 30 lb batch of snack sticks and delivered about half to the Boy's Ranch which I try and support since they do so much good for boys and girls. I figured this might be a nice snack they could enjoy after school.
I gave most all the others to people around town and apparently people must like them because I've had several requests from people wanting to buy more but its illegal here to sell game so they will just have to wait till I get the urge again.

Bob, its a heck of an organization. They make a real difference and the folks that run the place seem so genuine and caring and have helped these children tremendously and some have gone to do some incredible things where as it was they hardly stood a chance in life. I'm just glad I can help in my small way.

Good on you! I do similar here with a couple young single moms who work at the local supermarket with my wife. I take an extra doe with the flintlock and cut it up and make some nice lyoner and jalapeno cheese salami for lunches. 50 pounds of good fresh meat and sausage really cuts down on the grocery bill!
