Wow, July 29 National Lasagna Day! That's the day my new boat is due to arrive, guess I know what I'll have to make for dinner that day. Gonna be a long month for me. RAY

Yeee Haww! Here comes Oldman from Ohio... and WOW! ... is he ever burnin` the breeze! Where ya ridin` to that fast Oldman? You what? You what? You escaped from the jail at Rock Ridge and you say the Sheriff is shootin` at you? Well, quick... duck into our WD campfire circle! Ross Hill will stash yer` ol` hoss, I reckon... and Sawhorse Ray and Redzed will scrunch you in between them so that ol` sheriff will never find you! We`ll hide you out, ol` pard! You`re safe at WD. Welcome aboard pal, we`re glad to have you with us.

Best Wishes,

Say there pards! Isn`t it just about time for some... Chuckwagon`s "Saddlebum`s Sagebrush Sagacity & Wild West Wisdom"?
Character shows up best when tested -You can't tell how good a man or a watermelon is 'til they get thumped. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
Welcome to WD "Hogswhiskers" in Tokyo, Japan, and SalP in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. We`re glad to have you fellas with us. Grab a cup of Arbuckles and pull up some shade around the ol` campfire. We`ve got ribs for supper with plenty of thick, luscious, red, El Duk Style barbecue sauce!

Best Wishes,

Welcome to Wedliny Domowe, "Andreas Pflug" in Germany.
I rear-ended a car this morning...the start of a REALLY bad day!
The driver got out of the other car, and I saw that he was an extremely short person.
He looked up at me and said 'I am NOT Happy!'
So I said, 'Well, which one ARE you then?' Sneezy? Doc? Grumpy?
The little snot broke my kneecap!
We`re glad to have you with us Andreas Pflug.

Best Wishes,
Chuckwagon

Hey, hey "Dudis" in Brazil... Welcome to the WD brand! Come on in and join the fun in the great hobby of making homemade sausage. There are lots of nice folks here and many have years of experience. These folks are happy to share their secrets but they have to be asked. Others are brand-new beginners and need confidence and knowledge. It`s nice to help these folks whenever possible. All together, the members of Wedliny Domowe are a great bunch of folks with a lot of talent and the desire to help others. Again, welcome to WD!

Yeee Hawwww! Have you ever played the banjo? It is a kick! But it`s just like El DuckO`s hot air - a little goes a long, long, way! Hey... does anybody want to hear what a banjo sounded like at the turn of the last century? I found a link to Tom Turpin`s "The Buffalo Rag", written in 1904 and played by Vess L. Ossman in 1906. It`s incredible. It`s amazing that they could record the thing that long ago and have it reproduced so well. Click on this link to hear "The Buffalo Rag".

Yeee Haww! Two more wranglers ridin` for the WD Brand. Welcome aboard "senorkevin" in Mexico City, and "psykobillys" in Idaho. We`re glad to have you fellas with us. Pull up some campfire and pour some Arbuckles! Say there pards, it`s just about time for some... "Enquiring Minds Really,Really, Really, Want To Know"!
What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant? And can vegetarians eat animal crackers? Hey... is there another word for synonym? Would a fly without wings be called a walk? Do you think the little mermaid wear an algebra? And do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery? And last, but not least... how is it possible to have a civil war? Yup, Enquiring Minds Really,Really, Really, Want To Know!

Welcome aboard ashlihaberman from Chicago, and rock8125 somewhere in the United States. We`re glad to have you wranglers with us here at the WD Brand outfit! Pull up some campfire, kick off yer` boots, and pour some Arbuckles! Say there... I DO believe it`s just about time for some... "Thrilling Tumbleweed Trivia" - particularly, peculiar, poppycock you probably just couldn`t live without!
The human body is amazing. A human`s small intestine is only about 6 meters long. However, your blood takes a very long trip through your body. If you could stretch out all of a human`s blood vessels, they would be about 60,000 miles long. That`s enough to go around the world twice! The human body is 75% water but the brain is 80% water. And did you know that there were about 300 bones in your body when you were born, but by the time you reach adulthood you only have 206. The strongest bone in your body is the femur (thighbone), and it`s hollow! Oh, and yes, your fingernails grow almost four times as fast as your toenails! And get this... You blink your eyes over 10,000,000 a year. The width of your armspan (both arms stretched out), is the length of your whole body. Your forearm (from inside of elbow to inside of wrist) is the same length as your foot. And, by the way... it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open but when you do, it travels at over 100 miles per hour! Gesundheit dudes!

We`re happy to have two new wranglers with us here at the WD Brand outfit! Welcome Gator Man in Florida, and dabrjn in Delaware. Should we just call dabrjn "eyechart"? Pull up some shade boys, kick off yer` boots, and pour some Arbuckles! Yup pards... I think it`s just about time for some... Chuckwagon`s "Saddlebum`s Sagebrush Sagacity & Wild West Wisdom"! Here are some veryl old tidbits of good advice. Yup, old but good! And still very effective! And they`re worth mentioning again to new tenderfeet in this outfit!
"Never...ever - never, never, and I mean never in a thousand years, mention to your wife that her turkey was "a little overcooked"! The consequences are worse than spending a month in jail with a wounded hypochondriac!
And never kick a cow chip on a hot day! ...And don`t slap a man who is chewin` tobacco.
Finally, always take a good look at what you're about to eat. It's not so important to know what it is, but it's good to know what it was! And Gator Man and dabrjn, never squat down on your heels to tend the campfire while you`re a wearin` yer` spurs!

Are you tired of visiting "normal" museums? Why not check out a few eccentric, unconventional, out of the ordinary, and anomalous ones like the Museum of Toilet Seats in San Antonio, Texas? Whew! Here`s a link if you`d like to see a "preview". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uDdwZRfAl0
There`s a museum of tapeworms and parasites in Tokyo with 60,000 specimens and it boasts having the world`s longest tapeworm at 9 meters long... that`s 29 feet folks! Then there`s the museum of "Questionable Medical Devices" in Minnesota... and you`ll have to look that one up yourself! Oh yes, there`s a museum of 800 ventriloquist figures in Kentucky, and a display of human skulls in the Mutter Medical Museum in Philadelphia. Yikes! And, ohmygoodness, you should see what`s on display at the The Icelandic Phallological Museum in Reykjavik, Iceland! Yup, 215 of them. What`s in the museum? Well think about its name "Phallological" and you`ll get it. And now, would you believe that in Somerville, Massachusetts there is a Museum of Bad Art? It`s true... some of the worst art you can imagine. Don`t miss the nude woman riding a crustacean while coughing up Rubik's cubes. Oh yes, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, there`s a museum of salt and pepper shakers. You may see 20,000 pairs of them! If you are hooked on Bigfoot, you really should visit the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine, which is devoted to the study of hidden or unknown animals. There are more than 10,000 items in the museum's collection including dozens of plaster casts of Sasquatch himself! There`s the tracks of the Louisiana Honey Island Swamp Monster as well as a creepy, part ape - part fish, movie prop of the "Fiji Mermaid. This museum doesn't take itself too seriously though, because it also stocks artifacts like a Nevada Jackalope - a notorious rabbit with antlers, and a Utah fur-covered trout!

Welcome to Wedliny Domowe "Waltersd" in Mount Gambier, South Australia, and "bent.christense" in Spain. We`re happy to have you folks with us. Make yourselves right at home, pour yourselves a cup of Arbuckles, kick off yer` boots, and relax around the ol` campfire!

Say there pards... who`s that surreptitiously tippy-toeing around the corner of the bank with hoglegs drawn and nasty, cunning, furtive, rapacious looks and cold, calculating expressions on their mugs? Why... that`s a couple of our newest members here on WD. Careful now boys, and pull them-thar wild rags up over yer` noses so you won`t be recognized. Now don`t get shot up in the holdup and we`ll all meet you back at the ranch to split up the loot. Ohhhh... our part? Well, we`ll make sure nobody "borrows" your getaway horses!

Welcome to the WD Brand "Cheech" in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and "calgustav" in Oklahoma. Pull up some shade and relax a bit. That bankrobbing is one tough activity eh? How `bout a little refreshing red hot, Green River, brown gargle? There`s our favorite brand in the pot - (bet you can`t guess what it is). Nice to have you with us boys!

Best Wishes,

Yeee Haww! Three more WD members with us today! We`re growing like a weed. That must be because this is the best sausage-making site on the net eh? With members like YOU folks, it just HAS to be the best! Say there pards, isn`t it just about time for some.... Uhhhh... "Enquiring Minds Really, Really, Really, Want To Know"? Okay, here we go!
Donald Duck, the cartoon character NEVER wore pants. As a result, he was banned in Japan. But, back in America, whenever he got out of a shower he would always put a towel around his waist. Why? Yes.... Why, why, why! Enquiring minds really, really, really, want to know! And that`s not all. Manhole covers, (the lids that cover sewers), are always round. Why? Real enquiring minds want to know! Why, why, why? Well, it`s because the round covers rest on lips that are smaller than the covers so they can`t drop through the opening. A square or rectangular cover, no matter how it was made, could fall through.

Welcome to Wedliny Domowe "Kolbasz" in Poughkeepsie, New York, "Ducklegs" in Hodges, South Carolina, and Snakeoil in Ardmore, Oklahoma. We glad to have you folks with us. Kick off yer` spurs and drag a log in around the campfire to sit on. There`s hot Arbuckles and beans on the griddle.

Best Wishes,

Welcome to WD "chilefarmer" in Jacsonville, Texas, and "Russ" in Antioch, Florida. You guys will like this place... lot`s of friendly folks around to chat with and help you if you need it. If you are able to help others, we encourage you to do so. In any event, post often and stay in touch. This is a great place to make friends. Two of our members just traveled to Texas to hook up with two more members. They spent a few days together sight-seeing and all four had the time of their lives! We`re glad to have you with us smoke sniffers!

Say there pards, isn`t it just about time for some... "Enquiring Minds Really, Really, Really, Want To Know"?
The width of your armspan stretched out is the length of your entire body. Abraham Lincoln had an even larger armspan than his height. Now, no one knows for sure, but Lincoln most probably had a medical condition that includes these symptoms. Do you know what it is? Enquiring minds want to know? It`s called Marfans syndrome and some of its other symptoms are extremely long bones, curved spine, eye problems, heart problems and very little fat. It is rare and it is inherited. Okay, now that you are amazed, can you curl your tongue into a tube? Enquiring minds want to know! Most people can. In fact, about 85 percent of the population can do it? I can`t... but then... shucks, I can`t even snap my fingers!

Say there wranglers! Look at that cloud of dust. Reckon there must be new waddies a` ridin` into the WD Brand outfit eh? Say, those boys look familiar. The one ridin` tall in the saddle... why that`s ol` Sergeant "Schwani" out of California. And right behind him on that little paint is Deputy "mulligan" from Creston, British Columbia! And goodness, gracioius there ol` sheriff " ipyrek" out of Michigan! Yes, indeed... thems boys izz law dogs! Who ya chasin` boys? We`re hiding several desperadoes, but we`ll never tell you where! Put up yer` mounts and store yer` tack. Then join us `round the campfire for Arbuckle`s n` beans. The boys are stringin` whizzers tonight. And welcome to Wedliny Domowe fellas! It`s nice to have you with us.

Say there pards, isn`t it just about time for some... "Really, Really, Strange But True!"?
Did you know you speak about 4,800 words a day? There are about 6,000 actively spoken languages in the world today! But our language changes constantly. It`s "Really, Really, Strange But True"! In fact, the language of any society changes slowly but steadily, so much in 500 years, that an educated person will not be able to read or understand it.

Hi Pards! Each month I receive a list reminding me of the "special days" we celebrate and I`m getting ready for September. For example, I really like the site and info at the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Month and National Piano Month. Ssorllih would enjoy the link at National Chicken Month and Redzed would like National Mushroom Month and Mold Awareness Month. Anyone have a cat? Well September is Happy Cat Month. They`ve even got two sites for El DuckO... first there`s National Sea Cadet Month followed by National Head Lice Prevention Month  And hey...! For TheWitt and Sambal Badjak there`s International Strategic Thinking Month . IdaKraut just may celebrate National Prime Beef Month and SawHorse probably subscribes to the link at National Prosper Where You Are Planted Month. Janlab and Krakowska both know that September is Healthy Aging Month! Yup! And if I`m not mistaken, Croc, Cogboy, and Walleye subscribe to the info at Shameless Promotion Month! For Chilefarmer and Gold there`s Library Card Sign-up Month and Be Kind To Editors & Writers Month. TheWitt and Bob K will be glad to know that Septermber 22nd is International Ice Cream Cone day! Shucks, the list goes on and on. If you don`t see your name on the list, don`t fret... there`s still Self Improvement Month , Backpack Safety America Month Link, and International Self-Awareness Month.

Our newest member "Camper Bob" in Portland, Oregon just may wish to claim National Breakfast Month. How about it Bob? Say there, we`re just tickled to have you join our group. Welcome to Wedliny Domowe. We`re a goofy but friendly bunch at WD. There are lots of experienced folks here, as well as plenty of beginners. The really neat thing is somehow, everyone seems to support and help each other. You`re going to enjoy Wedliny Domowe... Welcome Camper Bob.

Best Wishes,
Chuckwagon

Funny that you mentioned that CW. In fact, there already is a National Mushroom Month, it's September. But the big day of celebration in our home is October 15, it's not only National Mushroom Day, but also our wedding anniversary! It's also in the middle of the shrooming season here, so we usually celebrate by going to our favourite mushroom spots.Image

Camper Bob is probably an experienced shroomer as well. Oregon is mushroom paradise, and they also have truffles!
