Condolences to Chuckwagon's family and friends. His quirky humour and enthusiasm for sausage making are a great legacy that he left for us on this forum.

Very sad news. Sorry to hear of his passing. I really liked his detailed approach to everything sausage and the like! I am sure he will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

aka as Barry Byner, passed away on Feb.10, 2018. He taught me all I know about sausage making and charcuterie, was a great wit, and a fine man. He will be missed, may he rest in peace. RAY

I just saw this. Very sad.
I haven't been a member of this forum for very long and don't yet feel like part of the community, but I've read hundreds of Chuckwagon's posts and have learned so damn much from him. He was truly a wealth of knowledge and an asset to this forum.
RIP, Chuckwagon.

Yup he was a colorful character thats for sure. Really not sure just how much he really knew but he sure could put out the B.S. when needed
Not many forums would have him around because of it.
I remember reading about the State troupers arresting him for impaired while he was the towns sheriff and fooling around with the under age dispatcher.
Like I said he was a colorful guy. LOL
