Kabonosy - The Look
Post
by Butterbean » Sun Apr 01, 2018 16:28
After making some Kabonosy I looked on Google images at photos of this sausage made by other people and noticed there was a lot of variation in what the final product looked like. Some had a wrinkled appearance while others were smooth.
For all the Polish purists on the board I'd like to ask what should the final product look like?

All of the Kabanosy I've ever had was wrinkled in appearance.

I can't see how it could be smoked/dried without shrinkage.

The Polish specialty store near my house sells everything and the kabanosy is wrinkled.
I also, called my very Polish friend who travels a lot to Poland and he said it is wrinkled.
