Hey today is a wacky (and quacky day)! It's El Ducko's Birthday!

Special Birthday card is here:

Hey Red, thanks a lot. Good e-card!

I'll have a little "Granddaddy juice" tonight (that's what the grand-kids call bourbon), and we'll see about the "duck in the pants" bit. (At this age, uh... the bourbon definitely will not help.)

A very happy birthday to you too Ducko!
You always bring a smile to my day with your funny contributions.
You are one in a million, and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Good God almighty, happy Hatching Day El Ducko! Maybe a little swim around the pond, dunking for a bit of bugs or whatever, then flying off to the grain-field to spend the night. Be careful, you're in season, and a darned fine meal, breasted, webbered, and served over a bed of wild rice. Thanks for all you do and all your great advice, wish I was there to buy you a B-Day pop. RAY

Happy Birthday Pato! Just how old are you? Can you still remember the Civil War? Do the wrinkles hurt much? Better not light ALL the candles on your cake at one time... you might start a conflagration!
Best Birthday Wishes ol' boy!

Happy Birthday Ursula!

Hi Redzed,
Thank you for the lovely thought.
Now that's an angry looking koala!
Needs to keep off the grog - it's not making him feel mellow at all.
I had a lovely quiet birthday, and did enjoy a beer, but a homemade Czech Pils.
VB is overrated.
Warm regards Ursula

Hey Lynn, well it's Monday the 3rd - your birthday! Happy Birthday Hamn'cheese! I wouldn't worry about that "S" word that Redzed called you. You see, I have a photo of you in your boat and happen to know that you don't look a day past 29! What a babe! Happy Birthday pal.

Best Wishes,

Happy B-day H&C, and a belated salutation to Ursula! Don't the years just seem to go by a bit faster these days, or is it just me? Oh well, every day above ground is OK with me. RAY

Wow! Thank you all for the birthday wishes and kind words!

I'm down tending to some issues at the Mother Unit's house and haven't logged on for a week or so.

Ursula, I surely hope that your birthday was warmer than mine and that you enjoyed it with friends and family. So sorry for the late response.

Ross, the water here isn't hard anymore and the tides have been particularly low...low enough that a doe came bounding out of the creek, up the rip rap and across the yard! Wish I'd had my camera. The next door neighbor just called me over to look at the coyote tracks in his yard.

As for being a sexagenarian, I was hoping there was some good news in all of this!

Thank you all again for your kind thoughts -

Lynn (the elder)
