Quoting Material

Post by Chuckwagon » Fri Jul 04, 2014 08:33

Say there folks! We really enjoy having you with us at WD.
I noticed some of you were having just a bit of trouble when it comes to copying quotations and posting them. May I offer a couple of hints? The most common problem is that folks don't "highlight" the selected sentences with your cursor arrow just before you reach up and click on the "quote" button.

The whole process would go like this:
1. select the sentences you wish to quote and highlight them with your cursor.
2. right click and select "copy" the selected (highlighted) material (from the source).
4. "Paste" the selected (highlighted) material in a new dialogue box.
5. "highlight" the material you just pasted.
6. click on the "quote" button at the top of the box

Hope this helps those having quoting problems. Keep up the good work folks, and keep on posting.

Best Wishes,
Chuckwagon
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D

I don't think these steps are necessary. Highlight the part you want to quote then click on the smaller "quote" button next to the "ignore" button and the selected part will appear in quotes on a new dialogue box.
