I haven't been here long, but this is a good choice in my opinion.

Ah Garsh Fellas! Shanks!

Lookin' forward to helpin' in any way I can. What a great bunch of sausage makers and friends we have here. Think of all the knowledge stored up in our group's 80 noggins! And we are growing each day! Keep the ball rollin' folks. Dont be afraid to share your secrets with other good people!
And.... heck, a little more Western Wisdom: I've said it before... but I'll say it again... NEVER run downstairs with yer' spurs on! OOOoooo
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D

Naw Colin, actually I'm losing weight because I've always got my foot in my mouth!

Congratulations Good Buddy!
Now I'll be forced to make the trek down from Canada. I've never actually been in the presence of a Moderator before.
Seriously, It will be an honour that I am looking forward to.
Having been the beneficiary of your wisdom in the past, I know that your new position will be a huge benefit to the members of this forum.

Thanks pal,
And I'm glad you are safely back home now. For those of you that don't know, Steelchef just lost his very good friend - his own father-in-law. When he flew out to the funeral, he got stranded in an airport by a snowstorm. Not a good way to spend the week.
Once again, my condolences and best wishes to you ol' friend,
Chuckwagon

So.... Chuck-E-Wagon, have you celebrated your anniversary as moderator any special way? ...commemorative sausage recipe, perhaps? ...or an evening of debauchery at the local waterin' hole / hot dog stand?

Guys, this is an opportunity to shower our beloved moderator with praise. ...or maybe with chilled water, like after we pull the sausage out of the smoker.

How about something innovative? ...kinda like the guy who discovered that you could make California roll sushi with the rice on the outside instead of the inside. We could make Chuckwagon Rolls, small-diameter sausage with additional sausage on the outside.

Hey! Don't laugh. ...even been to the UK? They have Scotch eggs there, hard boiled eggs with sausage packed on the outside, deep fried. Yum! Makes your arteries go "scritch!" just thinking about the delicious things.
Experience - the ability to instantly recognize a mistake when you make it again.
