Thermoworks PH meter
So I'd like to get a pH meter, but a Hanna is just out of the price range. Can anyone comment to this ThermoWorks meter?

I Am sure that would work fine but you will need to make an emulsion to test the Ph of meat, which works just fine. If you want another option in a similar price range that you can upgrade to a meat/cheese probe at a later date I would look to something like this Milwaukee. http://www.sausagemaker.com/11213milwaukeephmeter.aspx
Be aware that the meat probe will cost more than the meter but you can get replacement electrodes at a reasonable cost

Good to know. I have one of those. I noticed the instructions tell you how to calibrate the meter, but not how often. Do you need to calibrate this every time you use it?DiggingDogFarm wrote:I paid $78.33 for the meat probe here: http://www.water-testers.com/contents/e ...
