Post by Albertaed » Sat May 01, 2021 19:32

Well I’ve gone through the last Foodsaver vac sealer I’m going to buy. I’m looking for an upgrade any thoughts ?

I have the VP210, which is slightly less expensive and less heavy than the VP215. The VP215 is suitable for commercial or otherwise high-volume packaging operations because it uses an oil-bath pump, whereas the VP210 has a sealed pump that apparently won't withstand that kind of heavy use. The VP210 and VP215 are otherwise identical. I generally need to seal only a few bags at a time, so I saved a little money and weight (these things are monsters) by opting for the VP210.

Jeeze - seems there has to be something workable between a hundred dollar Food Saver and a $1600 chamber vac. sealer. No?
I was just complaining about my sealer on a different forum. $1600 makes me cringe though.

I ended up with the vac master 350. Which is around the $600 mark. I still want to pull the trigger on a mixer upgrade and bowl cutter so this seemed like a decent trade off.
