Gluten-free, carb-free. Well there ya go.

That "gluten free" designation is getting stupid. I saw packaged fresh meat with a "gluten free" sticker. Who would expect to find gluten in a beef roast?

Well until you suffer from it I guess it is silly
My Mother in law is gluten intolerant, any tiny bit will affect her, so with things like meat they have to specify that the product was not processed with anything that has gluten or cross contaminated .
Same with my Daughter with lactose.
What I don't get is Kraft cheese has 0 mg lactose !!!!

I'm not knocking anyon that suffers from any of those diseases, But there is new research being done on how the microbes in your gut affect your health. Lactose intolerance can be cured...yes CURED with a gut microbiome transplant. Get the right microbes, and lactose no longer is a problem. There is a long list of ailments that can be corrected by a gut microbiome transplant. People that eat a typical western diet suffer from crazy stuff that few in other cultures ever see.

Matter of fact, It has been recently discovered that Parkinson's disease is cause by a protein that is made by e. coli in your gut that becomes a prion which your body absorbs.
